Jallene Chua
Associate Psychologist MSc (Psych in Education), BSc (Hons) MSPS
Jallene Chua obtained her Masters of Science (Psychology of Education) from University College London, UK in 2019. She also graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Psychology) with First Class Honours from the same university. Jallene is currently pursuing her second Masters degree in Educational Psychology at National Institute of Education, NTU, Singapore. Jallene was a recipient of the Professor Sir Malcolm Grant Scholarship in UCL, as well as the Dean’s List in the Faculty of Brain Sciences. During her studies in London, Jallene worked part-time as an Academic Performance Coach with CoachBright, where she received training in coaching students from low SES families, including motivational and metacognitive strategies. She also worked with children with autism and dyslexia as a private tutor.
Jallene joined Bloom in early 2020 and is now an integral part of our team. Jallene is well-loved by our clients for her friendly and supportive presence. She is excellent with children and teens who may be anxious about the assessment process. She is a skilled assessor who is experienced in administering and interpreting a range of standardised psychological and academic tests with children and adolescents. Jallene is also trained in the Autism Diagnostic Observational Schedule (ADOS-2) and has worked with many children and teens on the spectrum. Her main focus areas for intervention include executive functioning coaching, social skills and emotional regulation. With her experience as a Research Associate at the Centre for Research in Child Development in the National Institute of Education (NIE), Jallene also lends her research and design talents to our social media posts on child psychology (Follow us on Facebook and Instagram!).
