If you are noticing some signs of difficulties, but you or your child are not quite ready for a formal assessment, screening is a good way to gain some useful information to inform you of your next steps.
Psycho-educational Screening
Bloom offers professional and reliable screening services, using well-validated tools, with results available in 3 working days. Screening will give useful information about possible risk of specific conditions (i.e., low, moderate, high) and inform us if further investigation or assessment is necessary. It does not result in formal diagnosis. A full, in-depth assessment is required for formal and accurate diagnosis.
Unlike computerised screening methods which are useful for screening large groups of students efficiently, we adopt a more comprehensive and personalized approach at Bloom:
- We gather a broad range of information, including rating scales, tests and observations.
- Instead of a computer-generated report, we collate screening results into a personalized summary for each child.
- We offer a feedback session where you can clarify what the results mean and recommended next steps.
Screening fees will be deducted from the full assessment cost if you decide to proceed with a comprehensive assessment after the screening.
